What is the best way to tell if I’m connected to my Netgear EX6920 extender?

Method 1: The Signal LED Lights Must Be On All of the Time

  • To signify a successful connection to the router, all range extenders include Signal LED lights (light types may differ from Netgear EX6920 Extender to Netgear EX920 extender). The Signal LED light will be firm once your range extender has successfully connected to your wireless router (no matter what colour it is or how many signal bars there are). Here are a few examples of various range extenders.

Method 2: The Internet should be in a normal state.

  •  Open a web browser and go to https://tplinkrepeater.net or https://192.168.0.254, where you can log in with the password you created for the extender.
  • Go to Settings > Status to see if your extender is connected to the internet. Your extender is successfully linked to your router if everything is in order as shown below.
