Aprilia SR 150 Price

In India, automatic scooters are common because they are simple to operate in city traffic. Although they provide comfort and ease for storage, the bulk of them are not attractive.

This forces some purchasers who are on the fence about two-wheelers to choose motorbikes instead. This is probably about to change with the release of the Aprilia SR 150, whose parent company, Piaggio, wants to target a specific market with its new product. Here are some characteristics of this new scooter that can make people want to buy one.

Looks

The Aprilia SR150 has a very sporty appearance thanks to the front apron’s sharp beak and the presence of a big wheel arch to support the 14-inch front wheel. Similar to the Honda Dio, the headlamps are mounted on the front apron, and the indicators are carried by a little mask. The rear seat is slanted upward, giving the side profile the appearance of being highly active.

The rear wheel that protrudes, the body graphics, the dual-tone seat, and the small grab rail are other distinguishing stylistic elements. The odd twin-pod instrument cluster is a straightforward analogue device.

Performance and engine

Although there is no confirmation of the SR150’s power and torque numbers, it is anticipated to use the same 154.4cc engine as the Vespa 150. The Vespa 150’s motor generates 11Nm of torque and 12PS of power. With these numbers and the 14-inch wheels, the SR 150 should handle incredibly well, at least in comparison to other scooters.

Date of release and cost

The SR 150 will be offered by Aprilia at an introductory price of Rs 65,000. (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The debut date is set for August 2016. The scooter, along with the Vespa line of scooters, will be produced in Piaggio’s Baramati facility in Maharashtra.
