Pay attention, pick up knowledge, and get better. This appears to be Bajaj’s mantra, and the consequences are clear to observe. Consider the brand-new Dominar 400. Anyone who has driven it will attest to the fact that it is a significantly better motorbike, and Bajaj has created a 250cc version of it using the same chassis after considering customer comments.

Features of Bajaj Dominar 250
The features of the Bajaj Dominar 250 are:
Design
The Dominar 400 features one of the market’s most distinctive designs, a careful balancing of style and function. In the same vein, the Dominar 250 continues. It has the same seats, body panels, double-barrel exhaust, bright LED headlamp, and 13-liter fuel tank as its twin. However, the sense of proportion is lost when the focus is directed at the rather thin 130-section rear tyre, giving the bike a slightly under-tyred appearance. Bajaj could have simply used the 150-section rear tyre from the Dominar 400, but it would have affected performance and fuel economy. Despite this minor cosmetic flaw, the Dominar 250 looks every bit the gorgeous machine it is.
Fit and finish are on par with the larger Dominar, and the exquisitely carved mirrors add to the feeling of exclusivity. By utilising the split digital instrument console from the original Dominar, Bajaj was able to reduce costs in one area.
Performance
- The Dominar 250’s engine is based on the KTM 250 Duke motor, but Bajaj created the head with two spark plugs. The engine makes a little less power and torque than the Austrian motor since it has a lower compression ratio (11:9 as opposed to the KTM’s 12:5). Despite its 180kg kerb weight, the Dominar 250 is no wimp and performs surprisingly well.
- The Dominar 250 is quick to reach 60 kph in 3.82 seconds, making it adept at weaving through city traffic. An exceptionally light clutch and the tractable characteristics of the Dominar 250’s engine make it an ideal city motorcycle. However, the Dominar 250 is capable of eating up miles, which is the true spirit of a Dominar. The higher fifth and sixth ratios let you to comfortably cruise at 100-120kph between 6,000 and 7,000 rpm and the engine has enough power across the entire rev range. The main drawback is that quick overtakes require you to downshift to fifth. So it’s fortunate that under strong acceleration the twin-barrel exhaust sounds throaty and booming.
Handling and ride
- Another instance of Bajaj getting the job done well. Even while the Dominar 250’s front fork is smaller, at 37mm, it glides over potholes thanks to its gas-charged monoshock and lower spring rates, which provide a comfortable ride on rough roads.
- The harmony between the ride and handling has also been accomplished, which is impressive. The Dominar 250 maintains its intended line despite the soft setup and is unaffected by mid-corner bumps. Although narrower than the Dominar 400’s, the redesigned swingarm on the Dominar 250 actually provides a nice sense of what the rear tyre is doing. Additionally, the Dominar 400-like long wheelbase contributes to a planted feeling at high speeds or even mid-corner. The 300mm disc and Bybre callipers provide the braking power to bring the motorcycle to a stop quite effectively, but the sensation is wooden. For maximum braking, you must pull the lever firmly.
